Hi!
My name's Klaus Zepf, I'm 29 and I live in southern Germany, not far from the springs of the river Danube.
About my writing: I started writing Fantasy, Sci-Fi and Horror in 1996 because I didn't like some details of the novels I read and movies I watched. I wanted to create my own characters and send them into adventures. Since then I try hard to become better and hopefully someday I'll be able to work as a professional writer (that's my greatest dream!).
The stories I upload here at Elfwood have to be translated into English first (because I originally write them in German). Since I'm not a native speaker I would appreciate any comments or e-mails to help me improve my English. I didn't upload anything for a while because I had a major writer's block for some time now. Hopefully this will get better soon. :)
My other hobbies include: 1. Martial Arts: I have been doing Judo for over 15 years now and recently I have started learning a Karate-style named 'Sutemi Jutsu Ryu Karate' as well as the Philippine 'Golden Kamagong Arnis' (the art of the whirling sticks) and 'Okinawa Kobudo', traditional Japanese weapons forms.
2. Roleplaying-games, right now I'm very much into Star Wars RPG(d6) and Earthdawn (a Dark Fantasy setting), but I also play other Fantasy-systems like DSA, a German system (aka. The Dark Eye) and sometimes Sci-Fi or Cyberpunk like Shadowrun and several other systems. I'm a member of a local RPG-club. I've already written a few stories about some of my RPG-characters.
3. I'm a fan of Manga and Anime (japanese comics and cartoons). This also has inspired me for a few stories. I also draw in Manga-style: Check out my Sci-Fi/Fantasy gallery and the Fanquarter. :)
4. Reading Fantasy and Sci-Fi novels (some of them in English), but I haven't read Tolkien's books so far (they're on my bookshelf). Right now I'm reading mostly Star Wars books, with a few Discworld-Novels in between.
Note: Due to my writer's block and a quite tough job I cannot promise anything about uploading any new material. Sorry!
